Always wear sun screen: I am a true English rose (read I burn, easily);  but it’s not just about that, it’s all about safety and defence so everything in my beach bag is SPF 30+ and I never, ever, ever use anything but factor 50 on my face and chest (no one wants to look like their favourite handbag when they’re older). The Kiehl’s factor 50 is a god send, light enough to reduce congestion from my endless rounds of application, strong enough to protect my fair skin. I also love P20 with its amazing texture and Lancaster.

Reading Material: I am wading my way through Kate Atkinson’s “A God in Ruins” after reading “Life After Life” which was one of those books that you put down and feel completely drained by, in a good way- mind blown.

Playlist: perhaps a hangover from my upbringing but in my opinion no trip to the beach is complete without listening to the best of The Beach Boys!

Outfit

For the body

Perfume: on holiday I don’t tend to wear perfume during the day (a very wise woman once warned me against the harmful effects of alcohol on the skin in the sun) but this scent is perfect for taking through to an evening sipping cocktails. A deliciously exotic white floral it creates a slightly headiness with deep ylang ylang whilst retaining its lightness through green tones.
